Islamabad: Pakistani Supreme Court on Wednesday Prime Minister, Imran Khan in the case of the massacre of the Military School, questioned his government for holding peace talks with terrorist groups who had carried out deadly attacks on Peshawar School in 2014, and ordered PM to investigate leading deviations to the attack.
In December 2014, a total of 147 people, 132 of them children were killed when Tearek-e-Taliban terrorists (TTP) stormed school.
However, the Khan government is currently in talks with TTP and as part of the reconciliation process, he has announced a ceasefire complete with clothes that are prohibited.
In a rare step, Khan appeared in front of the court at the command of the SC three judges led by Judge Chairman Gulzar Ahmed.
In connection with media reports about negotiations with TTP, the bench questioned whether “we took it (TTP) back to the negotiation table instead of taking action against them?” “Will we give up once again?” One judge, justice Qazi Mohammad Amin, asked PM.
Khan was asked to explain his government’s actions on officials involved in school security.
He replied that he was not the country’s PM when the attack took place.
It encouraged the main justice to ask him what his government had done in the past three years to improve the family complaints of the victims.
“You pull out orders and we will take action,” Khan told the bench, adding that the relatives of the victims were compensated.
In this case, the chairman of justice commented that parents want their children and not compensation.
The court told PM that the victim’s parents wanted actions against officials posted in a high-ranking position during the attack.
At one point of time, the debate about improving responsibility was hot when Khan said before the court: “Find out why 80,000 people were killed.
Also, find out who is responsible for 480 drone attacks that occurred in Pakistan.” Chairman of the Judge replied: “Looking Know about these things is your job, you are the Prime Minister.
As Prime Minister, you must have an answer to these questions.
“During the trial, the bench asked the federal government to listen to the attitude of the parents, said the action must be done against anyone whose negligence is proven.
The APEX court also directed the government to submit a report, signed by PM, in this case in four weeks.
Society SC came after years of protest by parents and relatives of children who lost their loved ones in the attack.
The family also protested the government’s efforts to carry out peace agreements with TTP.
Khan’s appearance was the first time since 2012 that a prime minister sat asked to appear before the top field.
King Pervez Ashraf, the Prime Minister later from the Pakistani Peoples Party (PPP), was asked to appear in connection with a graft investigation against former President Asif Ali Zardari.
Khan roasted by the upper court occurred a few days after his government surrendered to the Tehreek-I-Labbaik Pakistan far right (TLP), which was behind the anti-france protest over the publication of the caricature of the Prophet Muhammad last year there.
TLP is believed to be not supported by a strong country’s military establishment.
The Tussle Government – Tussle was preceded by the attraction of the Khan with the upper military brass for the appointment of the head of the new country.
