Lucknow: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Jalan Express Purvanchal 341km on November 16, the state government plans to launch an ambitious industrialization process in the interior of the highway, the longest of India.

Industrial estates that will be part of the Purvanchal Expressway Industrial Corridor (PEIC) will consist of 12 districts, including eight Barabanki districts, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkarnagar, Azamgarh and where toll road will be raised before peaking in Ghazipur.

The largest industrial land parcel of 1,234 hectares has been identified in Ghazipur, followed by 949 hectares in Gorakhpur.
