Glasgow: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson welcomed the climate pact between the United States and China was announced on Wednesday, describing it as an encouragement for negotiations on the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow.
“I welcome a strong commitment from China and the US last night to increase the climate action of this decade and keep 1.5c in reach,” Johnson said on Twitter.
“It’s a boost for negotiations when we go to the last days of COP26 and continue to work to provide ambitious results for this planet”, he said.
