Pune: Police of Pimpri Chinchwad on Thursday registered a case against Kiran Gosavi, witness NCB in the case of the JOPAN drug bust involving Aryan Khan, after a 33-year-old Bhosari resident filed a complaint that accused his cheating of Rs 2.25 lakh in 2015 for the promise to give him a job in Brunei.
Assistant Inspector Gokul Mahajan from Police Bhosari told TII, “In 2015, the complainant had given a part of the total money to Gosavi in his office in Thane, several amounts of Bhosari and the rest through online transfers.
When he did not get the job, the complainant asked Gosavi to restore The money, which he never did.
Recently, the complainant found news about Gosavi’s arrest for committing a similar crime.
He then came to us on Thursday.
“Pune police have registered three cases against Gosavi with the Faraskhana police station, Cantonment, and Wanowrie.
The first cheating case was registered in Fariskhana in 2018.
He avoided the arrest since then.
The police swung the action after Selfie Gosavi with the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan Aryan Khan as long as the driver of Drug Narcotics became a viral on social media.
He was arrested on October 29 and was still in court custody.
Mahajan said that in 2015, the complainant had received an email from the Gosavi office who was looking for his resume.
“After the complainant sent a resume, Gosavi promised a job at Brunei.
He took Rs 2.25 lakh from the complainant in cash and also through online mode and then calmed him down,” Mahajan said.
“We will ask for Gosavi’s custody from the court to investigate whether he has settled other people also using the same mode,” he added.
