Nagpur: Two Covid-19 deaths were reported in the Vidarbha region on Friday, for the first time in the past six weeks.
A patient from another country recommended Nagpur for further care and was declared positive Covid died on Thursday, while a man from Mul Tehsil died in Chandrapur.
It took the Vidarbha toll for 21,377.
Both patients have severe accompanying diseases, the health authority division is clarified.
The vaccination status of the two patients is being confirmed.
Overall, the number of new cases every day continues to be in two digits for the third day in a row on Friday.
12 new cases are reported at Vidarbha in the last 24 hours.
This includes five of each of the Nagpur and Chandrapur and each of Buldhana and Wardha.
All other districts in the region reported no new Covid-19 case.
On the other hand, eight patients recovered in a day.
These include five of Nagpur, two of Buldhana and one from Chandrapur.
Now, 90 patients are under treatment in the region.
29 of them in Nagpur himself and 18 were in Chandrapur.
Akola and Amravati follow at 11 under each patient care.
All other districts have less than 10 patients in care, with Bhandara, Gondia and Washim have zero patients from the last three days.
Overall, 7,116 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours in the Vidarbha region.
With 12 of them positive testing, the positive test rate stood at 0.16%, which was very lacking even though the season was lively.
Amravati: There are no new cases, no recovery and no death ensure that the district has a smooth day on the front of Covid on Friday.
None of the 189 samples were tested positively.
This left 11 patients under treatment.
Wardha: One more positive sample for Coronavirus from 401 reports on Friday, taking a case burden for 49,413 and increasing active cases for six districts.
The recovery of calculations and toll remains unchanged at 48,077 and 1,326 respectively.
Chandrapur: There are five new cases and one death in the district.
With only one daylight recovery, the number of active cases is shot up to 18.
The case expenses have increased to 88,831, including 87,270 recovery and 1,543 deaths.
Yavatmal: There is no death or no new patient in the last 24 hours, keeping the toll road that has not changed in 1787.
There are six patients under treatment.
Of the 72,917 patients so far, 71,124, including one on Friday, has recovered.
There are 2,159 beds available for covid patients in hospitals in the district.
Akola: All 398 tests carried out in the last 24 hours are negative and no recovery is reported.
Because there was no change in number, 11 patients were still under care in the district.
Buldhana: There are 302 tests and one of them found positive on Friday.
Two patients recovered.
Now, the district has six patients under treatment.
Washim: With a new case detected for the third consecutive day, Washim continues ‘zero covid’ tag for the third day in a row.
All tests carried out in the last 24 hours are negative.
Washim is the only district in the Division Amravati has inactive cases.
Gadchiroli: In the last 24 hours, 620 tests were carried out in Gadchiroli and all of them were negative.
This district has three patients under treatment.
No recovery was reported either.
Gondia: The district continues to status Covid zero for the third week.
None of the 289 samples tested on Friday were positive.
Gondia does not have patients under treatment.
Bhandara: All 304 tests conducted in Bhandara in the last 24 hours are negative.
There are no new cases reported.
Because of this, the district continues to ‘zero covid’ tag for the fifth consecutive day.
