Kolkata: The Indian Trinamool Congress that nominated the national vice president and former Chief of Goa Luizinho Faleiro to Rajya Sabha on Saturday.
Faleiro, who came out of the Congress Party a few months ago, will be the voice of Goans in the Upper House of Parliament, TMC said in a statement.
The former 70-year-old Navelim began to face the face of the Banerjee Mamata Party in Goa.
However, the sources in the party have stated that TMC, who has decided to take part in the election of the coming Goa, will not project Faleiro as the main ministerial candidate.
“I thank all the members of my AITC party and Mamata Banerjee to nominate me to Rajya Sabha.
I thank you for the opportunity to represent Goans at the national level and promise to make Gous hear,” said Faleiro.
“We are very happy to nominate Luizinho Faleiro to the upper house of parliament.
We believe that his efforts to serve the nation will be widely valued by our people,” TMC said in a statement.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has thrown his hat into the election of the Goa Assembly, scheduled for early 2022, with the GOENTHI NAVI SKAL slogan (New Dawn for Goa).
With the presence of close zero in the state, TMC has initiated a high decibel campaign, running mainly by the Political Strategist Prashant Kishor’s Indian Committee (IPAC).
TMC has tried to project himself an alternative to the Congress Party and BJP in Goa.
The West Bengal unit has started a campaign in several parts of the Salcete with Tennis Champion Leander Paes holding an angle meeting and interacting with the locals.
“The party has done what has been promised by providing a stronger representation to the cave at the national level,” TMC said.
