Patna: JD (U) will compete in around 20 out of a total of 60 assembly seats in Manipur ruled by BJP in the upcoming polls scheduled to be held in March next year.
JD (U) and BJP are allies in Bihar and at the center.
Jhanjharpur MP and JD (u) National Secretary of Rambrit Mandal, who is a responsible party in Manipur, will visit Northeast State on November 13 to review current political scenarios and party preparation for future polls.
“Mandal, during a four-day stay, will review the continuing preparation for the Mega Rally proposed by the party in Imphal on December 11,” JD (U) Manipur’s state president and former Minister of Hangkhanpao Taithul told Ti by telephone on Friday.
JD (U) National President Rajiv Ranjan Singh aka Lalan Singh will lead the rally.
JD (U) wants to show his strength in Manipur through the proposed rally to be handled by several top party leaders.
