Batsman Daryl Mitchell will replace Cededed Devon Conway in the New Zealand squad for the test series against India later this month, said Cricket New Zealand on Sunday.
Conway knocked down his hand when New Zealand beat England on Wednesday to reach the Twenty20 World Cup final.
“Too bad for Devon to skip the first series of the New World Test Championship cycle, but also offer opportunities for others,” Coach Gary Stead said.
“Daryl flexibility means he can discuss many positions of hitting and he of course gets a lot of trust at this time.” He proved he could appear at the Cricket test and I knew he was happy to join the test group.
“The series of two New Zealand tests against India began in Kanpur on November 25 with the second test began at Mumbai on December 3.
