Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation plans to start general OPD and other medical services in four hospitals after a drop in the case of Covid-19.
Officials said that general OPD facilities would likely be started at Dalvi Hospital in the Shivajingar area, Khedekar Hospital in Bopodi, Laigude Hospital in Sinhagad Road and Sonawane Hospital at Bhavani Peth next week.
Introduction planning to provide the necessary staff and medical officers in this hospital have begun.
The number of patients treated for Covid treatment has been reduced in the Hospital managed by PMC.
Citing an increase in the situation, local canporators demanded that the administration begin other medical services in the hospital.
However, officials said that plans were ready to reorganize hospitals for the treatment of covid patients in the event of a surge in the case.
“We have a plan to overcome the possibility of a third wave of infection.
The hospital will be pressured into the service for Covid-19 treatment gradually,” officials said.
PMC has also prepared a special wing for Positive Covid children in one of the hospitals in Jerawada.
A senior official said, “The next two weeks are very important.
We will monitor a surge in the post-festive season.”
