Pune: Candidates who want to pursue a doctorate from the Savitribai Phule Pune University have blamed the lack of information about the availability of PhD guidelines for various departments for delays in doctoral programs.
The university recently introduces revised guidelines to enter PhD courses and based on this, the requirements for PhD guidelines have also changed.
The entrance test to enter the doctoral program was carried out recently and the results were announced, but students were still waiting for the PhD guide allotment.
A candidate, who cleans the entrance, said, “Department representatives still have not provided data on the number of guidelines needed under various categories to the university’s entry cell.
This causes delays in acceptance and students suffer because of that.” The entrance examination for the PhD program is carried out on the month September for all the Savitribai Department of Phule Pune University at Pune Division, and also for research units at its affiliated institutions in Ahmednagar and Nashik.
Next, the results are also stated.
However, the university has so far been compiled information about the guidelines, claiming PhD aspirants.
Pressurla Pawar, Registrar, Savitribai Phule Pune University, said, “The University has established a committee to find a balance between the number of students who have cleared the PhD’s entry and available guidelines.
The Committee will study revised guidelines to enter and study the number of students who are provided by students Cleaning the exam to achieve balance.
“The University Grant Commission has published guidelines on PhD acceptance and committees will follow the norm.
The higher and technical state education department has searched for proposals from Savitribai Phule Pune University regarding new candidates who are willing to become a guide to PhD students.
This will reduce pressure on existing guidelines and give students the opportunity to choose the perfect guide for their thesis.
