New Delhi: West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Tuesday issued a resolution on the central step to expand BSF’s jurisdiction to 50 km from the international border in the state.
The center, which had previously empowered the Force Security Border (BSF) to conduct a search, arrest the suspect and made a seizure of up to 50 km in the Indian territory of the International Border (IB) along India-Pakistan and India -Bangladesh borders.

Extend the BSF BSF jurisdiction, which is only empowered to take action up to fifteen kilometers in the state of Punjab, West Bengal, and Assam, has now been authorized to expand its jurisdiction to 50 km without obstacles or permits both from the center or permit state government.
