PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Government has urged the trade union government to provide RS 150 Crore Center assistance to build 500 new bed hospitals for infectious diseases / epidemics in the United States.
Minister of N Rangasamy’s minister made a request in this matter while speaking at the Minister of Finance chaired by the Minister of Finance Union Nirmala Sitharaman virtually on Monday.
He said the Puducherry government has proposed to apply the ‘universal health coverage’ to expand health services to all parts of people and urge the United States to extend 100% central assistance for the health infrastructure mission of PM Ayushman Bharat.
Rangasami appealed to the trade union government to provide financial assistance Rs 225 Crore to obtain 216 hectares of land in Tamil Nadu and 54 hectares of land for airport expansion to allow the operation of large aircraft.
Expansion will include infrastructure facilities needed for exclusive enclave for helicopter operations and providing special corridors.
The minister’s chairman also appealed to the United States to consider building Aerodrome Air to promote the Amas aircraft operation in Puducherry.
He estimated the idea of ​​building a city film and amusement park on the site of 100 hectares on Manapet Beach and urged the union government to help identify suitable institutions to implement projects in public-private partnership mode.
He said the government had proposed to implement the ‘revised distribution sector scheme’ to improve distribution infrastructure.
He said the Power Finance Corporation Company Limited (PFCCL) has completed the proposal under the SMART measurement project to implement the project at total expenditure (Totex) -model with an estimated cost of RS 282 Crore to all 4.04 lakh existing consumers.
The government approved the PFCCL proposal and handed it to approve the Ministry of the Union last month.
He expressed optimism that the project would ensure the efficiency of 100% collection so as to reduce aggregate & commercial losses (AT & C) to the desired level.
Smart measurement work will be implemented in a duration of 12 months for 2022-23.
He urged the United States to accelerate the development of small ports under the Sagarmala scheme in Puducherry.
