JALNA: Public Health Minister Maharashtra Rajesh Tope said there was doubt about taking anti-Coronavirus vaccines in the regions dominated by Muslims, and the government would take the help of Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan to convince people to take Jab.
Maharashtra led in terms of the number of vaccine shooting given, but in several low vaccination rates, Tope said, talking to reporters here on Monday.
“There are still some doubts in a Muslim-dominated area.
We have decided to use Salman Khan and religious leaders to convince the Muslim community to take vaccines,” he said.
“The religious leaders and film actors use great influence and people listen to them,” he added.
More than 10.25 doses of crore vaccines have been given in a state so far, and at the end of November all eligible people will receive at least the first dose, the Minister said.
About the possibility of the third wave of virus infections, said Tope in accordance with experts, the pandemic has a seven-month cycle, but because of large-scale vaccination, the next wave will not be severe.
People must follow the Covid safety protocol and get vaccination, he added.
