Panaji: late on Tuesday night, two big accidents occur in the same place in close succession on the highway in Guirim.
The accident left many damaged cars and six people were injured, including the police.
Everything starts with a coconut tree crashing into the road.
According to sources, the first accident occurred when the coconut tree along the highway crashed into a moving vehicle, near the fuel pump on the highway in Guirim.
Immediately, the police were called to report the accident, when police personnel did Panchnama, another vehicle hit four four-wheeled.
Damaged police vehicles and three injured personnel.
They have to be shifted to the hospital for treatment.
Three residents of private vehicles that hit police vehicles were also sustainable injury.
Unexpected rainfall and poor lighting along the highway are believed to have affected the driving vision and leads to accidents, said locals.
