Varanasi: On a foggy Wednesday, the city sky was decorated with bright colors because 11 hot air balloons began to rise into the sky from near the Hanuman temple in the Domari area on the banks of the opposite Ganges River, marked the start of the Fest hot air balloon.
On the first day of Fest, around 50 elected people had the opportunity to see mythological Ghats along the Ganga River and other sites of the city from a height of about 1000 feet.
Even though it has poor visibility, the beauty of Ghats along the ganga can be enjoyed by visitors, said Kirtual Tourism Srivastava.
The pilot included four of India, two of Poland, two of England, each of Lithuania, Finland and the Netherlands guided by airport air traffic control systems, officials said.
The balloon landed at the Shivpur Link Road, Pisour Bridge, Daniyalpur, Lohta, Heriuli and Pinezka (all on the edge of town) and at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeth Ground in the city.
Fest will begin to witness the participation of the ticket crowd from Thursday night, said Sravasatav added that balloons would allow locals and tourists to see Ghats along the river opposite the bank.
Each ticket is sold against the RS 500, he said adding that the ticket was booked in large quantities with the opening of sales.
Hot air balloon trips will also allow the city people to enjoy the beauty of Ghats in the moonlight even though they have facade lighting, he said adding that this facility will also be available on the occasion of DEPawali devices on Friday night.
