New Delhi: Three men were arrested for allegedly tasting a 26-year-old man in his own car in the Punjabi Delhi West and then robbed his vehicle and cellphone after withdrawing RS 10,000 in cash using his ATM card, police said on Thursday.
Allegations – Pintoo Yadav (23), Sanjay (26) and Shiva Bharti (33) – all have earlier involvement in robbery cases were arrested after being questioned, they said.
According to the police, the incident took place on Wednesday morning when Prince Abhishek was banned by three people while returning from his brother’s place.
The accusation entered his car and kidnapped him.
They forced him to go to ATM outlets and use the debit card to attract Rs 10,000.
People then robbed two cellphones and his car and left him on the road, police said.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Urvija Goel said a registered case with respect to the incident and special team was deployed to find a car robbed.
When the team found a vehicle at Rajouri Garden Area, they intercepted the vehicle and robbers tried to explore the police team and fired two rounds.
“In self-defense, the police team fired three rounds but no one was injured.
However, the people who were accused of escaping and the booty car was found to be abandoned later,” he said.
The three men accused of being arrested, said police, added that the cellphone was robbed and other items recovered from them.
