LUCKNOW: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday stated that his administration will continue to buy wheat until farmers are considering selling their own produce.
The government may buy each and every grain of wheat, the CM additional.
His announcement gained importance in the background of this wheat procurement season coming to a near by June 15.
Reiterating his rack of protecting the farmers’ interest, Yogi stated that the wheat procurement wasn’t only restricted to the prescribed procurement goal.
Until Wednesday, the state authorities was able to secure 41.56 lakh metric tonnes of wheat, that had been almost 63 percent over last year after 24.76 lakh MT has been bought.
Food commissioner Manish Chauhan reported that approximately 8.83 farmers have been profited in the continuing procurement operations.
“We’ve made a charge of Rs 6355.45 crores straight into bank account of farmers from sale of the wheat harvest on the instructions of this Centre,” Chauhan said.
The state authorities had nominated seven buying agencies, such as the Mandi Parishad and Food Corporation of India.
He explained that precautions, such as establishing of a Covid desk in all buy centers, were taken in the aftermath of the outbreak to stop farmers from becoming infected.
In addition, he claimed that the state administration was taking all measures to conserve the corn from becoming damaged in drains.
The state government will begin supplying free foodgrain under Prime Minister Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) to approximately 14.71 crore beneficiaries from Thursday.
The inheritance and migrants will be qualified to have foodgrains from any acceptable price store just from June 13 to 15, a nation government spokesperson stated.
Yogi explained in a declaration that no qualified heirs be left from this totally free ration distribution strategy in the nation.
Under the strategy fivekg free ration (three-kg wheat along with two-kg rice grain) will be provided to the beneficiaries.
Back in May, over 7,04,518 metric tonnes of ration was spread under the strategy to over 14 crore beneficiaries.
