Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 6,111 a positive case of 66,693 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases detected, 5,175 people have taken vaccinations, 2,557 has taken both doses, and 1,758 has not even taken a single vaccine dose.
The current total active case is 62,288, where 6.8% of people are received in hospitals or other care centers.
Meanwhile, 51 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid, took the death toll in the state to 36,847.
At the same time, 7,202 patients have recovered from the disease.
Among new cases, 5,664 cases have been infected through local deployment.
Infection contact sources cannot be traced to 392.
There are 33 health professionals among those infected and 22 people have arrived from outside the country.
Thiruvananthapuram reported the highest number of cases with 848, followed by Eranakulam (812), Kozhikode (757), Thrissur (591), Kollayam (531), Kollam (348), Wayanad (287), Malappuram (287)), Idukki (274) , Palakkad (269), Pathamthitta (253), Alappuzha (185) and Kasaragod (97).
