Coimbatore: POLLACHI unit from civilian inventory – The Criminal Investigation Department (CS-CID) on Friday arrested a 43-year-old man because he tried to smuggle two tons of rice intended for the Public Distribution System (PDS) and save two tons of PDS.

The person arrested was identified as S esakkimutu, 43, from Alwarkarkulam in SrivaSundam in Tuticorin.
A CS-CID team that raided The failure on Friday morning found two tons of rice in the warehouse and a rice bag loaded in the goods operator.
