New Delhi: In a strong and direct message to Pakistan, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said “new and strong” India will foster all efforts by neighboring countries to disturb peace.
Speaking at Shaheed Samman Yatra in Uttarakhand, Singh said Pakistan continued to disrupt India through terrorist activities and hard messages had been given to him.
“Pakistan does all efforts to disrupt peace in India but we have sent a clear message to them that we will return.
This is new and strong India,” Defense Minister said.
He said India wanted a good relationship with his neighbors and never attacked any country or looked at the foreign territory.
“Having a good bond with neighbors has become Indian culture but some people don’t understand this.
I don’t know whether they are their habits or temperaments,” he said.
In veiled references to China, Singh said India had other neighbors who did not seem to understand many things.
Singh said he had to explain that if there was an effort anywhere in the world to “occupy even an inch of our land, India would give a right reply”.
Noting that everyone realizes the victory defines India in 1971, Singh warned Indian neighbors not to live under fantasy.
The defense minister also said that there was an effort to create a misunderstanding in Nepal about the road from Lipulekh Pass to Mansarovar through Dharchula which was inaugurated by him recently.
“But it fails to influence our cultural ties that are closely with Nepal,” he said.
