Ahmedabad: From January 1 to October 31, the city traffic police recorded death 299 people as 945 people suffered sustainable injuries in road traffic accidents (RTA), on average almost one death and three injuries every day on the city road.
When November 21 was marked as a world warning day for road traffic victims, statistics by city police gave the victim’s snapshot because of RTA.
Statistics revealed that it was running out of fatality, 67 or 22% below 25 years, the same percentage as the victim was injured.
While the monthly death 30 slightly higher than 28 in 2020, it was still lower than 36 years in 2019, revealing analysis.
Sanjay Srivastava, Commissioner of the City Police, at an event organized by the Ahmedabad Traffic Consultation Committee (ATCC) on Friday, said that the city police were determined to reduce death and make city streets safer through initiatives involving residents.
“Good incentives to Samaria announced recently will definitely motivate residents to bring RTA victims to hospitals and save lives.

Analysis by the Institute revealed that pedestrian users and two wheels accounted for 56% of the total deaths in the last five years.
Experts suggest that the removal of blind spots either at the intersection and on the main roads can be an important step along with increasing signs and road marks.
Analysis states that around 28% of accidents have occurred because of improper infrastructure.
