Tokyo: Japan has expressed concerns about Russia and China to patrol together by their air force in the Asia Pacific region, said Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi on Sunday.
“As before, we told Russia and China through a diplomatic channel about our concern about similar actions from a regional security point of view,” Sputnik said quoting ministers.
On Friday, Russian and Chinese forces conducted a third joint air patrol in the Asia-Pacific involving strategic bomber, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Patrol as part of the 2021 military cooperation plan is not designed to fight other countries, add ministries.
The Chinese Ministry of Defense said that China sent two H-6K aircraft to form a formation along with two Russian TU-95MC aircraft on the sea of Japan and the East China Sea.
During the patrol, the aircraft was strictly obeyed by the provisions of international law and did not enter the airspace of other countries, the ministry said.
According to the ministry, this is a third combined strategic air patrol by the Russian military and military, which aims to further develop comprehensive China-Russia’s comprehensive strategic partnerships in the new era, increasing the level of strategic coordination and joint operational capabilities, and together maintain global strategic stability .
This operation is part of the annual cooperation plan between the Chinese and Russian military and is not targeted at any third party.
