Ahmedabad: On Sunday night, Gujarat has provided 7.71 covid vaccination crore doses, one of the highest per capita terms in India.
Of the total, 4.54 crore is the first dose and 3.17 crore is the second dose.
Analysis of numbers shows that 70% of those who have taken the first dose obeys taking the second shot.
In the last 30 days, the number of second dose takers was almost 1: 8 with 11 lakh taking the first and 79 lakh took the second shot, according to Cowin numbers.
Thus, while the percentage of the first dose coverage increased by 2% from 21 October to 21 November, in the same period as the second dose coverage increased by 16%.
Five cities – letters, Rajkot, Junagadh, Gandhinagar and Bhavnagar – have 100% dose vaccination coverage, while four of 33 districts – Ahmedabad, Junagadh, Tami and Mahisagar – have been able to achieve achievements.
Among the districts, the Ahmedabad district has the highest coverage of 92% of the second dose.
With 34%, Dang has the second lowest dose coverage.
To place numbers in perspective, Gujarat has a 64% coverage of the second dose.
