Coimbatore: Director of Education Collegiate has placed a 42-year-old faculty member from the Government of the Government, which was arrested with bad charges with female students, under suspension.
According to Principal V Kalaiselvi, the suspension order issued by Collegiate C Poornachandran’s education director was received on Saturday night.
In the order, the director had quoted an ongoing investigation by the C-2 police station on the race route against teachers accused of Ragunathan.
When he was arrested by the police, it was necessary to place it under suspension in the public interest, the letter said.
19-year-old female students have filed police complaints on Friday for alleged physical progress by the teacher in March.
Ragunathan was also found to have sent obscene messages to several female students.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the police ordered it under four different parts and arrested him on Friday.
To avoid such incidents, colleges ask the teacher to avoid meeting students directly.
They also have to avoid calling or sending messages.
The College Administration has decided to reuse the dress code.
Students must avoid coming to college wearing jeans, leggings and tight clothes.
As the first year students will attend offline classes from Monday, the teacher has been asked to deliver direction to students.
