VARANATION: A Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Bearer, Ashish Gupta (25), was killed in a celebration shooting during the function of marriage in the Mirzapur district on Monday.
“Gupta went to the functions of the wedding at Sarju Udyan in the area of the Katra Kotwali police station on Sunday night,” said Ajay Kumar Singh, Mirzapur SP.
“When the West reaches the venue, some participants pamper themselves in the celebration of shooting,” SP said.
Gupta suffered a bullet injury in the stomach and was taken to the Division hospital.
SP said that remembering sharp setbacks in his health condition, doctors referred him to the center of Trauma Bhu in Varanasi, where he died.
