Kolkata: Head of West Bengal Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to discuss issues relating to the Border Security Force (BSF) and the development of the country during his visit to Delhi.
Giving media direction in Kolkata today, Banerjee said, “I will go to Delhi today because I have an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi a day, in connection with BSF issues and other Bengal Development issues.” The minister’s chairman said that all members of the Congress of Trinamool (TMC) who were sitting since morning at the party office in Delhi for the alleged brutality of the police in Tripura have not been promised by Minister Home Amit Shah.
“I will reveal my solidarity with them,” said Banerjee.
Previously today, a total of 16 members of the TMC parliament including Derek O’Brien, Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, Santanu Sen and Mala Roy arrived at the party’s office in Delhi and had been looking for an appointment with Shah for the alleged brutality of the police in Tripura.
On Sunday, the president of the Trinamool Youth Congress, Sayonni Ghosh was arrested by Tripura police for allegedly creating a commotion during the Public Meeting of the Minister of TRIPURA BIPLAB DEB.
Tensions in Tripura increased after the incident of violence in election to election to Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and 12 other city bodies were scheduled for November 25.

Mamata Banerjee visited Delhi today and will live in the national capital until November 25.
Banerjee’s visit to the capital was ongoing days in front of the parliamentary winter session scheduled to begin on November 29.
