NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries Ltd’s R&D arm also has suggested the usage of Niclosamide – that the medication used in the treatment of tapeworm disease – to healing Covid-19 patients.
Niclosamide, a medication over the World Health Organisation’s list of essential drugs, was used to deal with tapeworm infestation for over 50 decades.
The oral antifungal drug was used in the treatment of patients during the SARS epidemic of 2003-04.
