Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is ready to build a strong mechanism to protect websites and applications from hackers, in the main leap towards cyber security.
Cyber Security Operation Center (CSOC) is being built in the Odisha Computer Application Center (OCAC) tower to prevent intrusion efforts and cyber defacement.
“We will soon have the next generation and powerful cyber security wall to prevent the government website to be hacked.
The broader goal of CSOC is to monitor suspicious traffic traffic and take immediate prevention steps against malicious users.
CSOC must monitor, detect, Investigate and respond to cyber threats, electronic secretary and the Information Technology Department (E & IT), “said Manoj Kumar Mishra to Ti.
Initially, the system will be operational at the State Data Center (SDC), where government applications have been hosted, the width area of the country (Swan), and secretariat infrastructure.
Later, other government infrastructure will be integrated with CSOC.
The website of several offices and agents belonging to the government are hacked and damaged in the past.
CSOC will have a complete view of the threat landscape.
“Responsible for collecting, maintaining, and regularly reviewing the logs of all network activities and communication.
This can find the existence of threats,” E & IT said.
CSOC will monitor the network all the time to mark suspicious activities.
The center will issue a warning about threats that appear to prevent damage.
CSOC will rule out every threat, remove the false and ensure a real threat.
Given the threat, the center will act as the first respondent, take action such as turning off or isolating the endpoint, ending the malicious process of executing and deleting files.
