Written by news2in

Coimbatore: This district continues to reach the country in the number of fresh Covid-19 cases, by reporting anywhere between 120 and 130 cases a day.
Kaseload has fallen under the 100 mark on several occasions in the second week of this month, but only to get slower.
However, health officials said the spread was controlled and associated a marginal increase in new cases with the impact of the celebration season, when people packed shopping and recreational facilities.
They say Kasel will go down in the coming days.
On Tuesday, 119 people were tested positive for the virus in the district, even when three people gave up on infection.
It is the highest number of cases to be reported in the district of the state that day.
Chennai came second with 114 cases.
The lowest Kaseload reported by the district recently on November 8, when only 98 was positively tested for infection.
Cases began to increase after November 10 and the highest of 130 cases were reported last Sunday.
P Aruna, Deputy Director of Health Services, said the district had not seen the recent Covid-19 clusters formation, besides those in Annur a few weeks ago.
“The minor surge was caused by a crowd of festivals in the first week of November and Kasel which is expected to fall in the next few weeks, because most of them are isolated cases.” Aruna said they had succeeded in making deployment remained controlled after significantly calming Covid norms and reopening educational institutions.
“This might be due to mass vaccination.
More than half of the qualified population are fully vaccinated, while more than 90% have taken the first dose.
We will vaccinate more people and these cases are expected to decrease after people develop immunity to the virus.”
