CHANDIGARH: Athletics legend Milkha Singh was Thursday admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the PGIMER hospital following his oxygen level began falling.
He’s reportedly stable today.
The 90-year-old was on Sunday discharged in the Fortis Hospital at Mohali in stable state on the petition of his loved ones, and he continued to maintain isolation and on air service.
“Flying Sikh Milkha Singh was admitted in ICU at Covid Hospital of PGIMER in 3.35 pm now because of high degrees of oxygen,” the hospital said in a statement.
“He’s been kept under observation and can be secure today,” the announcement added.
Even the duo’s son and celebrated golfer Jeev Milkha Singh affirmed the development stating,”Yes, he’s now in the ICU Covid ward.

He had been admitted to this Mohali hospital May 24 after experiencing dehydration and diarrhea besides oxygen saturation degree.
The Mohali hospital also had previously said both Milkha along with his 82-year-old spouse Nirmal Kaur were treated for Covid pneumonia.
Kaur, a former Indian motorbike captain, remains in the ICU in the Mohali hospital using varying oxygen demand.
