Thane: The History of Sheeter is involved in the majority of stealing and selling car rickshaws in the Mumbai Metropolitan region captured by the crime branch, the police told Sunday.
According to Senior Inspector Vikas Ghodke, Crime Branch Wagle Unit-5, they were given accusations, identified as Sanu Khan aka Lal Badshah, trying to sell two newly stolen cars on Saturday afternoon.
Autos was apparently stolen from Thane and Mira-Bhayender and the defendant was looking for a customer when the police swooped him.
“The defendant was a History of Sheeter with some cases of vehicle theft against him.
We were told about the defendant who parked two cars near the housing complex in the Hazuri Thane area.
We put the trap and arrest him and also seized the vehicle,” Ghodke said through a press statement issued by police Thane .
The case has been registered at the Wagle Estate Police Station which is now investigating his involvement in the previous case.
