Navi Mumbai: Even when the State Minister Aaditya Thackeray has announced a friendly sidewalk in the city for an easy pedestrian movement, city activists in Panvel have complained to Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) that most of the trails in the new panel area are crowded.
Deliberately blocked and interrupted for several days.
Citizens Alert also pointed out that right across the blocked path, a chicken seller had illegally started a restaurant like ‘Dhaba’ next to the public toilet.
RTI activist Anarjit Chauhan said, ‘`that’s surprisingly, if it is not surprising, how some locals have actually won the trail section, in the new Panvel sector 11/12, diagonally opposite the gas station of Indian oil companies.
Footpath which violates this limit is only in front of the Padma Restaurant and Bar, along the Panvel-Mathanan road.
PCMC must take action against this illegality.
“Chauhan further added,” “While I have sent complaints to the PCMC commissioner, a copy has also been marked by the deputy commissioner of the city and other local officials.
Who are these people who don’t care about pedestrians and break the cruel path? “A local resident commented, the new Panvel sector 11 and 12 was a busy market hub.
Across this blocked path, a chicken seller in Sector 12 illegally expanded his shop and also put a table and chair next to a public toilet, side by side with Ganesh Market.
Citizenship officials must regularly patrol this area to examine encroachment.
“While DMC Dake is not available for comments, other civil officials have said that they will see the problem.
Chauhan added that recently he also complained about the illegal tin warehouse near the HDFC circle, adjacent to the flyover; But that illegal encroachment has not been deleted.
“It seems that some powerful elements are working in new panvels to take public land,” Chauhan added.
