Coimbatore: More than 40 members of the Consultative Committee of the Salem Division Train Users (DRUCC) were disappointed at the South Railway’s decision to postpone the 23rd meeting of the committee scheduled for December 10.
A statement from South Railway on Monday said that the 23rd meeting of the DRUCC of Salem Division scheduled for December 10 was established as a precautionary measure in the view of the pandemic.
The meeting was carried out three years for users to increase several related demands such as new train services, passenger facilities, station development and infrastructure requirements for the Western region.
But there has been no meeting held since January 2020.
Very disappointing to note that the Salem Railway Division southerily did not even arrange a meeting in the past two years when people have adopted various methods in meeting the pandemic situation.
