Patna: Three criminals transmitted by bicycles injuring a gold trader and looting his bag containing gold and silver ornaments worth around RS3 Lakh near Gopalpur Chowk under the Vaishali police station on Monday morning.
The victim was received at Hajipur conscious hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred around 8 in the morning on Monday when Ramu Kumar was valid, a resident of Bishunpur Paltu Village in Vaishali, brought ornaments on the bicycle to his shop.
Three armed criminals on two motorbikes intercepted against and asked him to hand over the bag.
When he refused the booty, the criminals shot him and escaped with jewelry.
The injured trader claimed he brought 5kg silver and 20 grams of gold in a bag.
The Vaishali police station Sho Sanjay Kumar told this newspaper that the police were investigating the incident and scanning CCTV recordings in the area to arrest criminals.
“Complaints have been submitted by the victim.
According to him, the criminals have covered the FA with a helmet,” he said.
“Ramu was sent home from the hospital after the doctors took off the bullets from his right foot.
The police will record his statement and conduct further investigation,” he said.
