Nagpur: Upset with the descendants of the city in the latest Swachh Bharat, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has warned both companies engaged in door-to-door collecting – OG Enviro and BVG India – to improve their performance on December 15 or hope to deal with action.
After the autumn of Nagpur from the 18th to 21st position, the Commissioner of the City of Radhakrishnan B has emphasized the need for waste scientific disposal on the dumping page.
He also directed the Solid Waste Management Department (SWM) only lifted apart garbage.
Confirming Development, Nodal SWM NMC officers, Dr.
Gajendra Mahalle told Ti that even after appointing two agents, the city dumping page in Banbewadi got mixed garbage.
“Even though the city produces 1,100-1,200 metric tons of garbage every day, only 35% -40% of separate waste transported to the dumping page,” he said.
Mahalle added that this happened even though around 60% of residents handed over separate waste to both companies.
An inspection of various regions has revealed that workers involved by the two companies mixed waste, even though the population handed over separate waste.
It is based that NMC has begun the process for 100% of city waste processing at Dumping Bandewadi Yard.
With the current situation, the purpose of NMC to treat waste will be defeated.
Vijay City Deputy Commissioner Deshmukh has asked the company to lift only separate garbage during their Door-to-door collection.
One of the main conditions in the agreement with agents is to lift only separate garbage and transport it to the dumping page.
But clauses are not obeyed since the appointment of the two institutions, which presents a bad image of the city.
Deshmukh has directed corporate officials to hold on to the terms and conditions and improve their work on December 15, or dealing action.
Dr.
Mahalle added that if the mixture was found to be transported to the Blandewadi, the NMC would force RS100 a fine per compactor vehicle that moved in transporting the door collection to the door.
Companies have also been told to collect only separate garbage by creating awareness in the area where they get mixed garbage.
