Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (Gnida) has decided to repair the road 3 km from Gautam University of Buddha to the Yamuna Expressway Authority area.
The road will extend to Yamuna’s freeway, which means that larger noida residents will have a smooth trip to the Noida airport area after a 3 km stretch of GBU reappeared.
On Thursday, the Gnida project department drifted tender for Rs 14 Crore.
The last date for applying for tenders is December 22, and the selected company will have six months to complete the project.
Apart from the road project, the tender worth around Rs 39 Crore floated during 29 other maintenance and development work in sectors such as Ecotech 1 extension, MU 2, CHAI PHI, ETA 1, SANSA RUNTAUH, etc.
After inspection by CEO of Gnida Narendra Bhoohan, the industrial authority has conducted research conducted by the Road Central (CRRI) research institute.
On the basis of CRRI reports, estimates are prepared for back surface work and tenders are issued.
“After this road project is complete, it will be easier for people to go from Greater Noida to Noida Airport.
The road from Greater Noida to GBU has been repaired.
The other half of the GBU to Yeida will be repaired soon,” said BhooShan.
He, however, added that construction could begin only after the prohibition, which was put in place by the Supreme Court and NGT after alarming pollution levels, was appointed.
Gnida has several other road repair projects in the pipe.
This includes repairing the portion of DSC Road from Dadri to the entry point of Noida, lining the road in the Chi-phi sector and other road repairs in TechZone 4, etc.
Tender for this tends to float on Monday.
In addition, RS 2.4 Crore will be spent on the development and beauty of the green belt along the 80-meter wide road branching out of the eastern peripheral freeway to the Sanda Roundabout.
