PANAJI: Minister of Power Nilesh Cabral said on Wednesday that the country aims to install roof solar crops in all government and non-government buildings.
He also said the government focused on making more available charging stations and was looking to replace all government vehicles, including those used by the minister’s chairman, with an electric vehicle.
“We change government vehicles used by our bureaucracy, including ministers, cm, administration for the next one year, to 100% electric vehicles,” Cabral said.
Speaking at a conference on renewable energy, Cabral said that the state planned to produce 35 megawatts of solar energy at the end of 2022, by establishing roof solar plants in individual buildings.
Government Colleges in Borda and Iti in Curchorem have made a rocal solar power plant that has been assigned.
“It used to have a Bill of Rs 57,000 per month.
Now there is a zero bill for them.
We intend to target all roofs throughout the Goa state and use it to produce renewable energy,” Cabral said.
Cabral said that this country aims to 100% depending on renewable energy, said Cabral.
“Goa becomes a very small country, we will see a 100% renewable energy model in the coming years,” he said.
The state government launches the application to show where the charging station can be found.
Four commercial charging stations have been arranged, and others are being arranged.
The cost of using the charging station is the least in this country, at Rs 8 per unit.
This country focuses on fast charging stations and low-wheeled charging stations for two wheels.
Goa consumes 650 megawatts of power, which touches 695 megawatts on a few days, he said, added that the state has initiated 110 megawatt grids diverse solar in various places where land packages are available.
This is expected to be carried out in 2022.
The government is also floating tender for sun plants on the dam in Selaulim and others.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the member of the Goa Energy Development Agency, Sanjeev Joglekar, said that stakeholder meetings were held to issue a plan to implement a 100% renewable energy in Goa.
Discussion was held with the Department of Transportation, Power, Waste Management, Municipality, TCP, Agriculture, Fisheries and Stakeholders from Hotels and Industry.
