Mar’s deadline is set for old vehicle memos

Gurgaon: The transportation department has said Diesel vehicles, more than 10 years, and more than 15 years of gasoline vehicles will get registered and rendering scrap after March 2022.
The department earlier this week issued public notifications, asking the district NCR vehicle owner to sell or transfer Register their vehicles to other districts to avoid forced cancellations.

“More than 10 years of diesel vehicles and gasoline vehicles older than 15 years are banned from plying in NCR by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in 2015 and also by the Supreme Court,” said Transportation Commissioner Amitabh Singh Dhillon in new public order issued .
“The vehicle owner is advised to shift vehicle registration outside the NCR by selling or transferring the same to avoid enforced automatic registration on the e-parahan portal.
After automatic registration, vehicle owners will not be able to transfer or sell vehicles, thus giving the scrap.” Meanwhile, there are no such vehicles that are allowed to layer in NCR district.
The Department of Transportation has asked the police to intensify supervision and confiscated all the vehicles.
“If such a vehicle looks on the road, we will confiscate it.
A series of special drives to confiscate vehicles already in cities such as Gurgaon and Faridabad,” said other transportation department officials.
