Ammonia Leakage From Cold Store Triggers Panic in Etawah Village

Times News Network Kanpur: Panic applies after a leak of ammonia gas in a cold storage near the Ekdil city on the national highway in the Etawah district on Wednesday night.
Fortunately, there were no victims reported because of the warning on time.
The incident was revealed after the villagers of Fufai near the SL Cold Store told the district administration and the police about poisonous odors that spread in the surrounding area.
Officials rushed to the place along with ambulances and the leak was immediately connected.
Additional Magistrate District Jai Prakash, ASP (Rustic) Omvir Singh, HR Rajesh Kumar Verma, Circle Officer (City) Rajiv Pratap Singh, Cmo Bhagwan Das rushed to the place and recorded the situation.
They asked about the incident of the cold storage owner Naresh Chand Yadav.
HR Rajesh Kumar Verma said that leakage was reported at the end of Wednesday night.
“When he reached the place, the Horticulture Department team connects leaks.
Then, the health team led by CMO visited Fufai village.
However, there were no villagers who complained about any problems,” HR said.
Technical requests will be carried out on the incident, the official said.
