HYD: BATTLE PARKING WOES MOTORISTS IN RGI Airport

Hyderabad: Finding a parking lot at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) is increasingly a problem for those who visit city facilities, especially during rush hour.
While the airport boasts a large car parking space on a certain day, the A and B zone stands filled with the entrance to the parking area which is batched and sports ‘full parking’.
Even to find an empty slot in the C and D zone – a lot behind the first two zones – often difficult, say locals.
In fact, in an effort to avoid the hassle of finding a car park – sometimes even to avoid paying a large cost of vehicles can be seen parked along the road to the road arrival, with their danger lights.
They entered only so the guests came out of the airport and were ready to be picked up.
Speaking to Toi, Ravi Rathore, a citizen of Madhapur, a rupe of how a few chances he had to spin around the airport for more than 10 minutes to find a parking lot.
“That is why if there are family members who need to be picked up during rush hour, I tried to reach far earlier just to make sure the parking lot,” he said.
Karthik S, who advanced to the RGIA to pick up his son on Friday, also had a similar experience.
“For a minimum of 20 minutes I went looking for parking.
It was frustrated.
Also, I saw many cars that looked like they were parked there for days.
Maybe people travel shortly leaving them there.
It also adds to the crisis,” he said.
Raju (changing name), land staff with private airlines, said that employees were also faced with similar crises.
Even though they were allocated a separate parking zone, even was crowded.
“Instead of getting around looking for space and collecting exorbitant costs, there must be a system where the engine stops removing tickets after the point so people know there is no room in the parking area,” said Bandla Krishnamurthy, a TCS employee, who was seen looking for a place at 6 afternoon on Saturday.
He came to see his friend.
Private security sources said this problem was rooted in the gap between the number of vehicles that emptied the parking space and those driving.
However, GMR officials said the ‘full parking’ barricade was immediately removed even if one vehicle left the place to make sure it was a parking room used.
“Parking is not a problem at all.
Space is provided for different vehicles.
Very rare for such situations appear,” said an official GMR.
