Marudhamalai cleans 300kg plastic waste

Coimbatore: People from all walks of life come together on Saturday to remove more than 300 kg of plastic waste thrown away by worshipers near the Marudhamalai Subramania Swamy Temple.
Like 50 people, including Sri Krishna College students and the Rotaract Club of Cug took part in this initiative, held by the Kovai NGO Kilalangal Padhugapppu Amaippu on the occasion of the International Mountain Day.
Volunteers, carrying gunny bags, gathered at the foot of the hill around 10:30 a.m.
