Noida: A 19-year-old domestic staff was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his employer’s house in Greater Noida on Friday.
Police said Prima Facie appeared to be a suicide case and further action will be taken after post-mortem.
Death was reported from the ACE Aspire Society.
“We got a call on Saturday morning from the hospital where the girl was brought by her employer.
They told us about a girl who was brought with a former Mimba on her neck,” said a senior officer from the Bibrakh police station.
While a police team was sent to the hospital, others went to the employer’s house.
“The employer, Prasoon Kumar, said the girl had worked and lived in their home for the past three years.
He said he seemed annoyed over something for the past few days, but did not reveal anything when they asked him what the problem was,” the officer said.
On Friday night, the 19-year-old allegedly locked himself in his room and did not respond to them, Kumar told the police.
“When they went to check it out, they found it hanging from the ceiling fan and rushed to the hospital.
We have told the girl members, who lived in Delhi.
They haven’t filed a complaint against anyone,” the officer said, added that It seems to be a suicide case but they are waiting for post-mortem reports to take further action.
Speaking to Toi, Smita Pandey, a Psychologist based in Noida said that he needed great pressure and courage to take extreme steps.
“The incident highlights how young children deal with a lot of stress lately.
Family problems play a leading role.
In many cases, anxiety or panic attacks are proven.
People, especially those from lower economic strata, need to be taught or Regarded about the importance of counseling.
Parents and teachers in schools / colleges need to be very alert in such cases, “he said.
