908 Appears for Class IV and VII Equality Exams

Thiruvananthapuram: The total number of 908 people from the Thiruvananthapuram district has emerged for the equivalency test carried out by the state literacy mission for class IV and VII.
Students between groups of age 17 and 80 attended the exam held on Saturday and Sunday.
While 215 students emerged for class VII examination at 16 inspection centers, 693 students appeared for class IV exams.
Among 215 students emerged for class VII, 152 were women, 61 were men and two belonging to the transgender category.
About 32 students come from scheduled caste and three comes from the scheduled tribes.
It also includes three disabled students.
A total of 693 students appeared for class IV’s equivalency test, which was also held at 16 examination centers.
Of these, 557 is a woman, 135 is a man and one is a transgender student.
These include 88 students from the scheduled castes, five of the scheduled tribes and six of different categories.
Equivalence checks are carried out in accordance with Covid regulations.
Exam centers are visited by local government representatives, Director of the State Literacy Mission Assistant, Dr.
Vijayamma, Co-Ordinator Mission Literacy of Nirmala Regency Rachel Joy and Assistant Co-Ordinator B.
Sajeev.
Examination was led by teachers under the mission and motivator of equality.
