Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett arrived in the UAE on Sunday and will meet the de facto ruler during the highest level visit because the countries inaugurated the relationship last year.
Bennett said he and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan will meet on Monday to discuss ways to improve cooperation and strengthen economic and commercial bonds.
There were no comments from Abu Dhabi on a visit, which came when increasing regional tensions as world forces tried to revive the 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran.
Israel has conducted a defense together with the Arab countries of the Gulf that shared his concern for Iranian activities.
But UAE also reached Iran, sending His NSA to meet with President Reli.
Since August 2020, UAE, followed by Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco, has moved to normalize bonds with Israel under “Abraham Abraham’s agreement” sponsored by the US.
The Journey of Bennett UAE was the first visit by Israeli PM to one of these countries since the agreement.
