Patna: In the middle of the number of Covid cases, Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh on Monday marked five team teams as part of a mask drive and spread awareness about preventive measures needed by people to maintain the virus.
DM said the teams would be sensitive to people and also punished them if they were found to violate the norms.
“The team will cover all traffic jams such as train stations, public hangouts, supermarkets, vegetable and fruit markets to ensure that people wear masks and maintain social distance,” Singh said.
Each team consists of judges, a police officer, a police officer and civil defense.
In addition to checking masks, the team will also make an announcement asking people to follow Covid guidelines.
The other district transportation official team will carry out a mask check drive on the city bus and ensure that the bus operator carries passengers according to the availability of seats.
DM has also directed additional collectors (law and order) and civic body officials to monitor consciousness and Covid-19 situation.
He held a meeting with the relevant official and issued direction given the increase in Covid-19 cases.
Singh asked the private laboratory to upload data related to Covid tests on the portal every day to monitor the actual status of pandemic.
At present, nine private labs are permitted to conduct covid tests in this district.
Singh asked the officials concerned to form a team to verify all laboratories.
“The actual status of the test, the sampling method and the time of the data entry will be checked by the official.
The Covid-19 control room has also been reactivated in the registration and counseling center with the number 0612-2219080 and 2249964.
Everyone can get information related to Covid on numbers “This will be functionalal 24×7,” he said.
DM asked civil surgeons and district immunization officers to pay special attention to Covid situations and increase tests in urban areas.
