Mathura (above): The police have arrested a man who on Tuesday allegedly made a call to the train that said that a bomb had been planted in a Bengaluru train, police said.
12628 Delhi-Karnataka Express was stopped for 25 minutes at Mathura Junction at night and was thoroughly checked.
It was given a vacation only after the Government Railway Police (GRP) believed that no one was suspicious, Mathura (City) police supervisor Martand Prakash Singh said on Wednesday.
According to SP, Satyanand, the defendant, made a telephone call to Helpline Railways 139 because he was not happy with the behavior of the catering staff to his brother.
An official said the call was transferred to the control room for the power of the train protection which in turn forwarded information to the team concerned.
“Because Satyanand was very drunk, he would be interrogated further later,” said an GRP official, adding he was arrested from a night’s shelter at Jalan Aruna Aiasasf Ali Delhi.
