The government to collect bills to regulate industrial promotion boards

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government will bring a bill in the ongoing winter session from the State Assembly that proposes to form an industrial promotion board to facilitate investment in the state.
Bill Jharkhand investment promotion in 2021 will be submitted together with the anti-lynching bill next week for the approval of the State Assembly, Minister of Alamgir’s parliamentary affairs Alam said.
The bill proposed the Constitution of the Board of Governors led by the Main Minister as Chair and Minister of Industry as Deputy Chairperson.
The 26 Governor Board of Governors will have the Minister of Finance and Mine and Geology as a full-time member with a glimmerary head.
In addition to the Secretary of 20 Departments, representatives of various industrial bodies will be their members.
While the Board of Governors will meet twice a year, the affairs of the council will be managed by the Executive Committee which will be led by the main secretary.
Draft Bill, a copy with Toi, states that JIPB will be a contact point for investor prospective investors, review investment proposals, regulation and processing all necessary permits required sequentially, modernization and upgrading existing industrial units and pain and disbursement of incentives.
Philip Mathew, Jharkhand President Small Industries Association (JSIA), welcomed moving.
“This is a welcome step because it will provide encouragement to the industrial climate in the state.
But we have to wait and see the broader board strength,” Mathew told Tii.
The businessman has, on several occasions, questioning the efficacy of the Single Window System of the State Industry Department and accusing corruption mostly in obtaining permits, plot auctions in industrial areas and other sectors.
Nature says a total of four bills will be submitted in the winter session.
“We hope this bill will be discussed and debated on the floor of the house,” said nature.
