Shuttle City & Radial Services to follow a circular route

Thiruvananthapuram: a month after the city’s circular service was launched in the city; KSRTC will follow up with a city-themed color shuttle and Radial City service.
The city shuttle service which will be launched in January 2022 aims to build connectivity with rural suburbs that cover the main areas that contribute high traffic to different places in the city.
“Shuttle City and city radial services are part of a larger plan to change transportation networks in the city.
Circular service city is the beginning.” Peripheral services under the city shuttle will cover areas where a number of people go down and take a bus in rural areas .

Pallichal – Fort East, Malayinkezhu – Vikas Bhavan, Karakulam – Peroorkada, Mannanthala – Medical College, Thiruvallam – Manacaud, Kazhakootam – Medical College are several routes that will be borne under the city shuttle.
KSRTC hopes to build a sufficient number of exchange points where passengers from the nearest suburbs are near the desired destination at the destination City without having to find other modes of transportation.
After the service is fully operational, long-distance services that are currently running from the city to rural areas will be stopped in stages.

The KSRTC will apply the exchange method to facilitate transportation where passengers can travel from one place to another without having to reach the heart of the city.
The intersection method helps transport easier by allowing passengers to exchange buses in certain places.
Exchange points are a stop where more than one route meet.
About 24 exchange points have been implemented in seven KSRTC service routes.
