Kanpur: Lekhpal was arrested in connection with Gangrape a little girl, who died giving birth to a baby who was born dead on Tuesday night, was suspended on Thursday.
In October, a person had submitted a case under the relevant parts of the IPC and Pocso acted against Lekhpal Ranjit Barwar, Karan and two unidentified people for the rape of his 15-year-old daughter and threatened to kill him when he was pregnant.
On Monday night, the girl’s health deteriorated after her family rushed to Shivrajpur CHC on Tuesday morning.
After giving his first assistance, the doctors referred the girl to the wing of labor and children of LLR.
After giving birth to a dead person there, the teenager also died during treatment.
Police arrested Barwar Lekhpal-Ranjit who was accused of late Tuesday night and sent him a prison on Wednesday morning.
On Thursday, Gulab SDM Chandra Agrahahi, suspended Lekhpal accused and said that the action was taken after getting information about the arrest of the police.
Meanwhile, during postmortem the body of the girl and her baby who was still born, the doctors had taken a good blood sample for DNA tests.
The sample will be matched with the accused blood, police said.
The police station of Kakwan In-Charge Kaushalendra Pratap Singh said that an application had been given in the dead court on Thursday to get a defendant’s blood sample for DNA tests and the application would likely be heard on Friday.
