UPMRC prepares to launch passenger metro services in the priority section

Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) has completed preparations for starting passenger services in the Priority section of the Kanpur Metro project.
Last minute preparation took place in front of the possibility of visiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It is very possible that PM Modi will launch Metro Kanpur on December 28.
Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMR) is to check Kanpur Metro, before starting the Metro service to the public.
The CMRS team will examine the project priority part of December 20, 20 and 22, before that, UPMRC MD Kumar Keshav inspects the nine-km-length section on Thursday.
He began his visit from the IIT Metro Station, where other senior corporate officials accompanied him.
During the visit, the Managing Director said that “on December 28, the passenger service on the stretching will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of the main presence of the Chief Minister of Yogi Adityanath”.
Metro services to the public will open from the next day of the inauguration, namely December 29.
Keshav said that daily passenger services will be available starting at 6am to 10pm.
Initially, only QR code that will be available as a ticket mode while the smart card will soon be available.
MD also said that with technological advances, token systems have been replaced with QR tickets.
While interacting with MediaPersons, Kejhav said, “Metro service is the most comfortable, comfortable and safe mode of public transportation, where special attention has been paid to facilitate women, children and passengers who can differ differently.” Metro will not only improve city transport infrastructure, but will also change the kanpurit lifestyle, he added.
